“I have been a member of CHAMP for a little over a year now. It’s been one of my greatest years in health and fitness. I’m finally enjoying working out and have seen the changes it has made in my life both physically, mentally, and emotionally.”
1.What or who brought you to CHAMP?
I had been struggling for some time finding a place that got me excited about working out again and getting me to a healthier place in my life. I had tried many of the big name gyms out there and even spent quite some money on at home training programs. But nothing stuck…I would start out great but very quickly trail off and end up stopping. One day I finally asked a very fit and in shape coworker what she did and where she went to workout. She told me about CHAMP at The Hamilton County Sports Complex and I said I would check it out. I’m so glad I did because CHAMP is that place that got me excited about working out again and being a healthier me.
2. How long have you been a member?
I have been a member of CHAMP for a little over a year now. It’s been one of my greatest years in health and fitness. I’m finally enjoying working out and have seen the changes it has made in my life both physically, mentally, and emotionally. It’s also very cool that my husband even saw the impact CHAMP had on my life in a year’s time and decided to join CHAMP as well. He’s been a member for about 2 months now and loves it!
3.What do you like most about Champ?
I really love the other members at CHAMP and the ‘regulars’ you get to know in the classes you frequent the most. The people at CHAMP are ‘real,’ not fake and pretending to be something or someone else like I often found at other gyms. The instructors are top notch and really push me to work harder. It still amazes me every class how each instructor is in such great shape…I really don’t know how they workout at 110% while talking/teaching/directing/and motivating for 60 minutes straight at the intensity that is CHAMP.
4.What is your biggest obstacle to working out?
I really don’t have many obstacles to working out anymore. I enjoy it and want to be there so I make sure I figure out how to make it happen. It really has been helpful to have the childcare available since I have two boys ages 4 and 2.
5. What is your greatest gain from being part of the Champ tribe?
My greatest gain from being a part of CHAMP is that I’m in a much better space of health and well being than when I started. I feel like I have been able to set a good example for my husband and sons…one that they want to be a part of and participate in.
